In this project, I designed a modern drop cap using a typeface developed more than a
century ago. Drop caps are the larger letters found at the start of paragraphs or chapters
that take up two or three lines of space. Using the S from the type family Andreas-Schrift,
I created an ornate drop cap with ornaments surrounding the letter and a sword through
the center. The sword was inspired by a uniquely designed sword from Pinterest, and the
ornaments were inspired by a few similar drop caps.
